Where the T20 World Cup live scores ended in 2026
India went through the group unbeaten: four played, four won, eight points, top of Group A, with Pakistan beaten by 61 runs in Colombo on 15 February.
The Super 8 was messier. South Africa handed India their heaviest T20 World Cup defeat, though India still came second in Group 1 on two wins from three. India then beat England by 7 runs at the Wankhede on 5 March, after New Zealand knocked South Africa out by 9 wickets at Eden Gardens. The final was one-sided, India 255/5 to New Zealand's 159.
Bangladesh were replaced by Scotland after refusing to play in India, so they never took the field. Their best T20 World Cup runs stay the Super 8s of 2007 and 2024.
- Sahibzada Farhan led the run charts with 383
- Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy took 14 wickets each
