Cricket betting app guide to the ICC World Cup 2027
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027 across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia: 14 teams, 57 matches, 12 grounds. India open against Australia at Newlands in Cape Town on 7 October and face Pakistan at the Wanderers on 10 October. If you are picking a cricket betting app for that stretch, the fixture list matters more than the sign-up screen, because six weeks of group cricket are followed by a Super 7 round robin in which every point won earlier is wiped off.
All figures here were confirmed against the operator's published pages on 24 October 2026.
This page gives you the schedule as the ICC published it, the twelve venues with their capacities, the record book that World Cup markets are priced against, and the list of operators we link to for players in India and Bangladesh.
Operators we list for online cricket betting on these matches

How the 2027 World Cup is built, Windhoek to Johannesburg
The tournament starts before the full field is settled. Three Super Series matches at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek on 2, 4 and 6 October 2027 make up a single round robin, and the side that finishes top takes the last group stage place. The other 12 teams are already split into two groups of six.
Group A is India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Qualifier A. Group B is New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B. Five matches each, squeezed into 18 days from 7 October to 24 October.
It opens with India against Australia at Newlands on 7 October, and India meet Pakistan at the Wanderers in Johannesburg three days later. The group phase closes with Zimbabwe against India at the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls on 24 October. Starts are at 10:00 and 12:30 local time, UTC+2, so add your own offset before you plan a late night in front of the screen.
The Super 7 takes the top three from each group plus the better of the two fourth-placed teams. No points are carried over, and that is the detail most people miss: a side can win all five group games and begin the second stage level with a team that scraped in fourth. Each of the seven plays six matches between 25 October and 14 November, the first of them in Johannesburg on 25 October, and the top four reach the semi-finals.
Semi-final one is in Cape Town on 17 November, semi-final two in Tshwane on 18 November, and the final is in Johannesburg on 21 November with 22 November kept as a reserve day. Tickets were announced in a band from USD $9.62 (R158) to USD $31.31 (R514); prices of that kind move, so check the current band when sales open in your market. Every match is listed on the schedule page.

Cricket betting tips the World Cup record book supports
Nothing here is a system. These are the few things in the 2027 structure and in half a century of World Cup results that actually change how a market behaves.
- Respect what South African grounds have produced. The highest team total in World Cup history is South Africa's 428/5 against Sri Lanka on 7 October 2023, and the best innings return is Glenn McGrath's 7/15 against Namibia on 27 February 2003. Totals lines in this part of the world have been wrong in both directions.
- Watch net run rate from the first week. Only the better of the two fourth-placed teams joins the Super 7, and a result like India's 302-run win over Sri Lanka on 2 November 2023 is the kind of margin that settles that tie-break on its own.
- Treat 25 October as a reset. Group points do not carry into the Super 7, so a side's five-match group run tells you about form and nothing about position. Six matches per team, 25 October to 14 November, and the table starts empty.
- Take a tournament-long view on batter markets. Virat Kohli made 765 runs across the 2023 edition, Rohit Sharma holds the record with seven World Cup centuries between 2015 and 2023, and Sachin Tendulkar's 2,278 runs from 1992 to 2011 is still the career mark. Those numbers come from batters who played deep into November.
- Plan for a final that does not finish cleanly. The 2019 final was decided on a boundary count of nine, and the 2007 final went to Duckworth and Lewis by 53 runs. The 2027 final on 21 November has a reserve day on 22 November, so read how your operator settles a match that moves to the next day before you place anything on it.
- Price Bangladesh match by match. Their overall World Cup record is 16 wins from 49 matches between 1999 and 2023, which looks grim until you remember the 322/3 they chased against West Indies on 17 June 2019. Shakib Al Hasan's 11 World Cup fifties came out of the same side.

What the 2026 T20 World Cup said about these teams
India won it at home. Four wins from four in Group A, including a 61-run win over Pakistan in Colombo on 15 February 2026, then second place in Super 8 Group 1 with two wins from three. The loss in that group was a hammering by South Africa, India's heaviest defeat at a T20 World Cup, and it did not cost them: they beat England by 7 runs at the Wankhede on 5 March and then put 255/5 on the board in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 8 March, bowling New Zealand out for 159 to win by 96 runs.
That is a third T20 title after 2007 and 2024, from a fourth final appearance. Jasprit Bumrah took the award in the final, Sanju Samson was player of the series, and Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy finished the tournament with 14 wickets each. The most runs went to Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan with 383. New Zealand had reached the final by beating South Africa by 9 wickets at Eden Gardens on 4 March.
Bangladesh did not play. They withdrew before the tournament after refusing to play in India and Scotland took their place in the field of 20 teams and 55 matches between 7 February and 8 March 2026. Their best T20 World Cup results remain the Super 8s of 2007 and 2024.
A warning for anyone carrying that form into 2027: the Ahmedabad final was a 20-over result on home pitches, and the next World Cup is 50 overs on grounds in South Africa and Zimbabwe. More detail sits on the T20 World Cup page.
How did India and Bangladesh do at the 2025 Women's World Cup?
India won their first title. The 2025 edition ran from 30 September to 2 November, eight teams and 31 matches, with India the official sole host and Pakistan's matches moved to Sri Lanka. India got there the hard way: fourth in the league with three wins, three losses and a no result from seven games on 7 points, then a 5-wicket win over Australia in the semi-final, then 298/7 against South Africa's 246 in the final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, a win by 52 runs.
Shafali Verma took the award in the final and Deepti Sharma was player of the tournament with 22 wickets. Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa made the most runs in the tournament, 571. Bangladesh finished seventh with one win, five losses and a no result from seven for 3 points, out once Sri Lanka beat them.
Eight months later in England, the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup ran from 12 June to 5 July with 12 teams and 33 matches. India finished third in Group A on 6 points and went out: wins by 64 runs over Pakistan, 95 runs over the Netherlands and 5 wickets over Bangladesh, losses to South Africa and Australia by 6 wickets each. Bangladesh were fourth in the same group on 4 points, having beaten the Netherlands by 6 wickets and Pakistan by 23 runs. Australia took a seventh title, beating England by 7 wickets at Lord's, and Shree Charani of India led the wicket takers with 14. The full history is on the Women's World Cup page.
Questions players ask before the first ball
- When does the 2027 World Cup start and finish?
- It runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027. The first three matches are the Super Series in Windhoek on 2, 4 and 6 October, the group stage runs 7 to 24 October, the Super 7 runs 25 October to 14 November, and the final is in Johannesburg on 21 November with a reserve day on 22 November.
- When do India play Pakistan?
- On 10 October 2027 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, a 10:00 local start, UTC+2. It is India's second group match, three days after they open against Australia at Newlands.
- How does a team reach the semi-finals?
- Top three in each group of six go to the Super 7, joined by the better of the two fourth-placed teams. Those seven play a single round robin of six matches each with no points carried over from the groups, and the top four go to the semi-finals on 17 and 18 November.
- Is Bangladesh playing at the 2027 World Cup?
- Yes. Bangladesh are in Group B with New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and Qualifier B. Their five group games start against England in Windhoek on 8 October and finish against Qualifier B at Centurion on 23 October. Squad news goes on the Bangladesh squad page.
- How much do tickets cost?
- The announced band runs from USD $9.62 (R158) to USD $31.31 (R514) depending on the match and the seat. Ticket pricing changes as sales phases open, so check the current price for the fixture you want rather than relying on the launch figures.
- Which operator should I bet the World Cup with?
- We do not rank them. The list on this page carries the operators that accept players from India and Bangladesh, each with its own card and link, in an order set by the site. Compare them yourself and keep in mind that rules on betting differ depending on where you live.
